Have you paid an invoice from a care provider? Please send us the invoice; it’s easy, fast and secure if you use Mijn VGZ or the VGZ Zorg app. The amount we reimburse will be in your bank account within 6 working days. See more information and a short film: VGZ Care app.

Follow the status of your claim

You can find your submitted claims and processed claims in Mijn VGZ, under the ‘Care used’ header. Or search in your ‘Claims overview’ in the VGZ Care app.

Submitting a claim on someone’s behalf

  • Are you submitting a claim on behalf of a policy holder with a customer number? Make a claim using a customer number
  • Are you submitting a claim on behalf of a policy holder looked after by Youth Care? Make a claim for Youth Care

    Claiming on behalf of someone else? Then claim directly with a customer number (in Dutch).

What should my claim include?

We can only process your claim if the following information is listed on the invoice:
  • policy holder’s name, address and date of birth
  • type of treatment (including performance code)
  • cost for each treatment
  • date of treatment
  • name, address and care provider’s AGB code and practice name, policy holder’s address and date of birth
  •  type of treatment (including performance code)
  • cost for each treatment
  • date of treatment
  •  name, address and care provider’s AGB code and practice name

Make a claim by post

You can also make a claim by post. It will take a little longer for the payment to be transferred to your bank account; 2 weeks instead of 6 working days.

You do not need to include a claim form for care in the Netherlands, the original invoice will suffice. Please do check that all the required information is listed in the invoice itself (please see information textbox above).

Frequently asked questions

  • How do I submit a claim with a Personal Budget (pgb)?

    You can submit your claims online or by post. Please claim your expenses monthly.

  • How can I check the status of my claim?

    You can see the status of your claim in 'Mijn VGZ' within 6 working days after receipt of your claim. Have you submitted your claim online? Then you will receive the reimbursement amount on your account within 6 working days. If you have submitted your claim by post, you will receive the reimbursement within 10 working days. We will also send you a healthcare costs statement. This statement lists what we reimburse and whether you will have to pay a mandatory excess amount.

  • What is the deadline for submitting a claim?

    You can submit invoices no later than 3 years after the start of the treatment.
  • How long does it take for my claim to be processed?

    Have you submitted your claim online? Then you will receive the reimbursement amount to your account within 6 working days. If you have submitted your claim by post, you will receive the amount within 10 working days.
  • My invoice is written in another language. Can I submit this invoice?

    We only accept invoices written in Dutch, German, English, French or Spanish. We may ask you to have an invoice translated by a official translator. If so, you will have to pay the translation costs yourself.
